Preview: Season 17 Skater Ratings
Same as goalies, OV is just a guess.
Also, previously unrated players don't have SP/SK/DF yet so their OV rating isn't correct.
And, i really haven't had time to comb them over so take a look and let me know if you see any errors.

Re: Preview: Season 17 Skater Ratings
Just to clarify, these ratings are absed on last year and the current year? Reason I ask:
This years stats:
K Okposo - 43 games, 16 goal, SC rating of 68
L Couture - 42 games, 14 goals, SC rating of 78.
Just a comparison and question.

Mid-rates are 50% last years ratings and 50% ratings based on the first half of games played in NHL.

It was nice for MacKinnon and Palat to go on little streaks right before the 41 game mark.
Palat
MacKinnon
Niederreiter
Rielly
All solid rookie additions to my team for next season. Some drafting starting to pay off.

Are you creating them now? I'm having a huge debate on whether I want to bring in Lindholm, Murphy, Schiefele, Trouba, Raffl. Knowing likely McCarthy, Ceci and a few others will also end up on my team if I wait for auto rookie creates.
With so many UFA's (cullen, Alfy, ehrhoff) my young guys could fill roles, but I like hoarding them on my prospect list
Soon my pretties will be ready and I'll have a dynasty... soon #aimharder #shootbetter

Palat, MacKinnon, Niederreiter, and Rielly will all be useful players on my team next season. If I was tanking next season I wouldn't create them, but creating them should really hep to improve my playoff hopes. May hold off on Rielly if I can't clear some of the log jam on D.

Do we have a choice, who can be created or not ? I thought if a prospect played over 25gms (or something like that) they were auto created.

Auto-creation only happens in the full season re-rates.

Again, why does Brent Burns have higher SC than Phil Kessel?

Mid rates.
Plus burns was rated as D last season, his 50% is from his D scoring

That shouldn't be right though. Not to criticize the great work you do, but he should be rated either as a D or a F. He should be locked in as one or the other.
Re: Preview: Season 17 Skater Ratings
Didn't we have this same discussion about Byfuglien when he was with Andrew in Carolina? Didn't Mayo have to declare what position he was going to play prior to the season starting and he had to remain there for the full two season cycle?
