The Calgary Flames are your 34th DHL Cup champs! Jeff has finally taken his team over the hump this season after knocking on the door for a while. It's the first ever championship for the Flames. They were a masterfully constructed team that featured a forward group tailor made for the playoffs. Scoring, 2-way play, grit, the team had it all and will be hard to dethrone next season.
Congrats to Rich and the Panthers who came oh so close to winning their first cup as well. This was a well-balanced team in its own right with a clear emphasize on team defense and goaltending.
